The Team Behind Educating for Life

MICHELLE PADRELANAN

Michelle is the ‘old’ one of the group. Her four children span the ages of 22 years down to 10 years. She loves cooking for her family, reading mystery and suspense novels, binging on Netflix tv series and watching Filipino movies. She is passionate about homeschooling and has been encouraging families in their homeschool journey through her blog, “Beyond the Silver and the Gold.” Her current project is bringing her baby, “Ready To Homeschool”, to different cities in the country. “Ready To Homeschool” is a seminar on homeschooling designed for parents who want to explore homeschooling. She believes that homeschooling strengthens the family and strong families are the foundation of our country.

Michelle is one of the co-founders of EFL and is our resident expert when it comes to anything related to sponsorships and partnerships. You can visit Michelle’s website here: http://michellepadrelanan.com/

SANNE UNSON

Sanne enjoys reading, crocheting, and searching for new things to learn—in between homeschooling her daughter, trying to keep their house in order, managing The Learning Basket’s online shop (http://www.thelearningbasket.com/store), and thinking of new topics and themes for EFL events.

Sanne is one of the co-founders of EFL and is the program director of most of EFL’s events. She is also a staunch advocate of reading aloud, playful learning, positive discipline, and homeschooling.

MARIEL UYQUIENGCO

In addition to being a homeschooling mom of three, Mariel is a “kissing monster” of anyone below five years, and a bookworm who yearns to find time to read non-children’s books. Despite having mixed feelings about having an online presence, Mariel chooses to forego her desire for a “quiet life” and help others. You can find her at TheLearningBasket.com, which she started in 2011 and is a parenting resource hub that offers parent education classes, as well as articles on parenting and homeschooling.

Mariel is also one of the co-founders of EFL, putting her love for planning and organization into practice as she acts as project manager and official worrywart for the group.

TINA RODRIGUEZ

Tina is a self-professed “media missionary” who loves God, her husband, her kids, books, and dark chocolate. She believes in passion-led, purpose-filled, lifelong learning. This is mainly because she comes from a medical background but is now pursuing her childhood passions as a writer, editor, and occasional resource speaker. It’s also why she and her husband homeschool their kids, in the hope that each of them will more ably discover their passions and God’s purpose for their lives.

Tina aims to help people discover and grow the “riches” they already have via Truly Rich and Blessed (www.trulyrichandblessed.home.blog), and is EFL’s resident “PR girl” and trying-hard-graphics-artist. She and her husband are also the founders of “ROCKERS (Roman Catholics Keeping Education Real) Philippines,” a group supporting Catholic homeschoolers since 2011.
